Yerba Buena

Yerba Buena

In 1966 the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) and Board of Supervisors designated the Yerba Buena Neighborhood as an urban renewal area.

After years of planning the dream of a dynamic urban cultural center with dozens of galleries, museums, Yerba Buena Gardens, entertainment facilities, housing, hotels, fine dining, and shopping finally became a reality. Yerba Buena is one of San Francisco’s most lively communities serving as a cultural crossroads for the city and the current construction of the Transbay Redevelopment Project is further changing the neighborhood.
